CHEMIST (Polymer Innovation)

Responsibilities:
- Reporting to Polymer Innovation Manager.
- Conduct lab scale polymer synthesis in proper manner and preparing lab activity report.
- Supervise and assign daily job duties to assistant chemist and lab technician.
- Product development (Polymer Synthesis) including fine turning the synthesis process control and final product specification target.
- Responsible on new product upscaling from pilot to production stage.
- Manage laboratory administrative requirement including safety and 5S target.
- Manage laboratory instrumental/tools/machineries/chemical in proper maintenance and storage conditions.
- Carry out trouble shooting in production and follow up corrective and preventive action.
- Responsible to handle customers complaints and productions rejects postmortem analysis work.
- Responsible for quality assurance and quality control routine task.
- Provide on-going technical support to QC section or Production Department upon technical request in various matters.

- Assist chemist to conduct pilot production trial run.
- Manage lab administrative activity and safety including 5S target and instrumental/tool/machinery/chemical maintenance.

- Able to work independently and preparing lab report.

OPERATION EXECUTIVE
(Telok Panglima Garang- Selangor)
Responsibilities:
- Reporting to Operation Manager
- Establish and enforce company policies and safety procedures for all production staffs.
- Ensure good practices in daily operation according to ISO and SOP. To ensure a safe working environment and a quality result.
- Responsible to train a team of supervisors and operators in order to achieve targeted production output and quality specification.
- Plan labour and equipment requirements within guidelines provided by operation manager to meet the daily production schedule.
- Plan and follow up with all production lot sequences according to production planning.
- Prepares shift reports by updating output status, equipment status & yield/quality issue within 12 hours of process operation.
- Update output/equipment status & yield/quality issue in daily meeting.
- Raise abnormality issue on quality & SHE compliance (contain material if needed to ensure non-conforming lots not being shipped out)
- Conduct periodic audits to ensure no process deviations.
- Prepares and updates manufacturing documents, consistent with the latest requirement.
- Adheres strictly to cost controls and budgets in area of supervision, suggest cost reduction efforts and implement effective cost reduction programs.
- Support plant management in qualification and implementation of quality, waste elimination and environment programs.
- Conduct initial investigation & reports regarding malfunctions in operations, processes or any quality issue.
- Prepare the weekly and monthly production reports to mangement.
- Takes on additional responsibility when required for team goals & to meet production KPI.
- Perform other ad-hoc activities as and when required.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Engineering (Chemical), Engineering (Material Science), Engineering (Industrial), Degree in chemistry or physic or equivalent.

- Responsible to lead, supervise and manage a team of technician in order to achieve targeted maintenance activities.
- Prepares daily job reports by updating work status, maintenance issue within 12 hours of operation to maintenance executive.
- Carry out daily, weekly and monthly preventive maintenance inspection.
- Assist to carry out repairs and services of company’s facilities.
- Assist to carry out repairs, services and overhaul of all mechanical equipment in the plants.
- Assist executive to carry out the troubleshoot of machinery breakdown or failure.
- Assist to measure the performance of mechanical components, devices and motors.
- Assist in testing, evaluation, maintaining and modifying equipment on any machine.
- Ensure workplace is tidy and clean during and after completion of job.
- Assist in monitoring all works being performed by outside contractors and ensure quality works.
- Consulting with superior or with related supervisors on solving impending and / or current problems.
- Responsible to closely monitor and manage subordinates’ attendance and discipline, provide necessary counselling and guidance where necessary.

- Responsible to lead, supervise and manage a team of operators in order to achieve targeted production output and quality specification.
- Follow up with all production lot sequences according to production planning. Ensure the production plan is aligned with material for maximum efficiency.
- Prepares daily job reports by updating work status, equipment status & yield/quality issue within 12 hours of process operation to production executive.
- Prepares daily status report for output/equipment & yield/quality issue to production executive.
- Responsible to closely monitor and manage subordinates’ attendance and discipline, provide necessary counselling and guidance where necessary.
- Perform other ad-hoc activities as and when required.
Requirements :
- Candidate must possess at least Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Certificate in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Science or equivalent.
